Q: When was the club established?

A: Epsilon Beta as an organization was started in 1931 in Washington, Missouri. JCHS officially started our chapter in the 2018-2019 school year. Before that, we were the Library Student Board.

Q: Can you describe what your members do?

A: We are the keepers of the library and our members help promote literacy and the library through events like Blind Date with a Book, book clubs, and the Giving Tree. We always try to have fun and creative ways to bring people to the library and get them interested in reading.

Q: Why was this club established?

A: Our club was established for high schoolers that are interested in the library and to connect its members with other chapters statewide.

Q: How has it affected the students who participate?

A: The students who participate in Epsilon Beta get to meet and build relationships with other book lovers, develop teamwork skills, and get a fun and inviting place to be creative and express their ideas.

Q: Anything you would like to add?

A: Epsilon Beta is a statewide organization and they have a conference every year, this year, our chapter of Epsilon Beta gets to be the hosts!
