First Presbyterian Church holds diaper drive

As the winter holidays come to their peak, everyone feels the giving spirit. Friday, December 13th, the First Presbyterian Church at 324 Madison St. The Capital City Diaper Bank will be holding their fifth annual drive.

The drive is searching more for sizes 3,4,5, and 6. Any unneeded diapers laying around or diapers that your child can no longer fit is always accepted. The Capital City Diaper Bank also accepts cash donations towards their charity in order to supply its partners with resources.

In the past, this nonprofit organization has received more than 13,000 diapers with this charity. On its Facebook page, it gives the statistic that 1 in 3 low-income families cannot afford a supply of diapers for their children from month to month.

At the event, attendees can enjoy milk and cookies. Donations can include diaper packs, baby wipes and cash donations towards the charity’s cause. If donating: a single pack of diapers, a multipack of wipes or a cash donation of $10 or more, you will get a picture with Santa! The event will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Go out this weekend and make a difference for the next generation of people.
